USDA Promotes Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production

Collaborative efforts and public feedback drive progress in USDA’s initiatives.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) would like individuals involved in urban agriculture, innovative production, and related fields to participate in the meeting of the Federal Advisory Committee for Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production on August 1. The department is gathering feedback and insights on the initiative. Members represent agricultural producers, higher education and extension programs, non-profits, business and economic development, supply chains, and financing.

“The Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production Federal Advisory Committee continues to support urban agriculture and innovative production efforts at USDA with on the ground insight and advice,” said Terry Cosby, Chief of USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, which houses USDA’s Office of Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production. “I encourage members of the public to attend and submit comments for the Committee.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Chief Cosby to seek God’s direction as he heads the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
  • For USDA officials as they support and promote urban agricultural innovation.
